Their main expertise seems to be racking up billable hours. Helping your elderly loved one...not so much. I hired DDV to help my father appeal an involuntary termination notice from his Assisted Living facility. DDV charged $750 for an initial 1 hour "short notice" consult (it lasted 30 minutes). It seemed expensive but we were under a deadline to respond to the notice and we figured it would be worth it if it helped dad.
