I can't even provide 1 star. My father had the unfortunate experience of spending the last few months of his life there and was essentially neglected. We visited daily to hold the staff accountable for a minimum of care. My father had Alzheimers and mobility issues. He required assistance to use the washroom. We'd ask the staff for assistance when we were there as they were the trained professionals and my poor father was left waiting sometimes for an hour for relief (he had bladder cancer as well). My mother has lived there now for 5 months and I have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of care she receives everyday. The staff are friendly and well trained. The facilities could use some paint, but is kept very clean. The food is good for the most part and mom cleans her plate most days. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend Deerwood Creek to a family needing to place a loved one in Long Term Care.
