Editing my review now that we have actually experienced Deerbrook. And not just the process to get into the facility. I would strongly caution anyone considering Deerbrook Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation for a loved one. During my mother-in-law’s stay, from Oct 2024- April 2026 our family experienced repeated failures in communication, lack of proper medical notification, poor wound care, untreated infections, and an overall disregard for her dignity and safety. Our family is so grateful for the care my mother received at Deerbrook. She was discharged home safely today after a scary fall that resulted in a hip fracture and hospital stay. Initially, we were considering a different route for her recovery, but after speaking with Devin and Dr. DiTommaso, we felt so much more comfortable. My dad was at Deerbrook to receive IV antibiotics and therapy, and our family couldn’t be happier with the care he received specifically by therapy. The therapy team was absolutely amazing, so supportive, professional, and encouraging every step of the way. Devon took the time to explain the entire process clearly, which made us feel much more comfortable choosing rehab instead of going straight home with home health which is what we were initially going to do. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Deerbrook Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation has been wonderful for my dad. Devin Johnson was referred to us by our case manager Payton @ Kingwood Medical Center. Devin came and met with us all at the hospital to explain everything clearly and helped us feel confident in choosing the right place.
