My father was a patient at Deerbrook three times. The third stay lasted eight weeks and is the reason I am writing this. He had a foot wound that was not being monitored. His wound machine sat unplugged for five days. During that time his arms and legs kept swelling. Staff took x-ray after x-ray and never reached a conclusion. I was a patient here and I liked the way they treated me here, they were all nice to me. They did a good job and I'm very happy. The nurses, the staff, therapy were all nice. I came here sick and I'm going home today and I feel real happy because I'm doing much much better than when I came in. My name is Alicia Villarreal

Editing my review now that we have actually experienced Deerbrook. And not just the process to get into the facility. I would strongly caution anyone considering Deerbrook Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation for a loved one. During my mother-in-law’s stay, from Oct 2024- April 2026 our family experienced repeated failures in communication, lack of proper medical notification, poor wound care, untreated infections, and an overall disregard for her dignity and safety.
