Desa Retreat is a beautifully presented space in Jan Juc, with lovely gardens, a calm atmosphere and a welcoming feel. A thoughtfully put-together local stay that feels well cared for.
Desa staff are truly nurturing and have the intuitive ability to know when you need time alone and when you need someone with you. They provide you with amazing food, good company and incredible take-home self-care practices and supports and a new attitude towards my wellbeing. Long walks on the nearby ocean beach found me having the best sleeps I've had in a very long time. We have stayed at Desa Retreat a few times and have always found it to be a lovely, relaxing place to stay. If you want a place that is quiet and chilled this is the place to stay. It is close to the beautiful surf coast walk which I walk every time we stay at Jan Juc. We have stayed at Desa about seven or eight times - maybe more. Sometimes it is just a holiday for us. At others it is a superb place to stay when visiting my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughters living in Jan Juc. Emma is the perfect host and has become a friend. I (Joanna) have enjoyed yoga, meditation sessions, and massages as part of our stays and that is part of the reason we have always left Desa and it’s magnificent garden feeling much better than when we arrived.
