Mom you have got to grow up and get me off the streets. Stop acting like I'm supposed to be forced into staying around homeless people at homeless shelters. I have never gone to the homeless shelters in my life! Get me off the streets!

I read once that the best therapists always have two qualities: they listen intently and care deeply. I spent roughly six months with Dawn, and during every session I knew she was listening and caring. Of course, she has many other great qualities mentioned by other reviewers: compassionate, conscientious, warm, kind, wise, gifted and much more. All I can say is, today I’m better (less depressed and less anxious) because of Dawn. Thank you, Dawn!

I wholeheartedly recommend Dawn DeAno in her work as a counselor. I have known Dawn for many years, as her mentor and teacher at Naropa University, and now also as a friend. I have experienced her deep insight and skill and her wise and compassionate heart both personally and in group settings. I highly recommend Dawn. When my wife passed away, I found Dawn to be the person I trusted the most. I was working with several other counselors and she was the one who resonated with me the most and I found to provide the best guidance and insight on my situation. She's supportive, readily available, non-judgmental, and accepting. I will forever be grateful for her help in processing my grief and moving my life forward.
