My mother passed in 2021 and David Lu’s family came to her funeral and cremation ceremony. He had personally told me that he and my mother were good friends. When I went to his office to have my taxes done with him later that month, he didn’t know I understood Mandarin when he said to his employee “she didn’t say anything about them being black”.
