Will not file your taxes on time. It doesn't matter if you've prepared everything ahead of time, and it's not your first year with him. He doesn't take care of his clients. Be warned, you should not use him if you plan on filing your taxes on time. Check his Yelp reviews.
DAVID MORTIMER IS A GREAT ACCOUNTANT. HE COMMUNICATES AND HAS HELPED ME WITH SOME TAX ISSUES WHICH I GREATLY APPRECIATE. RECOMMENDED HIM TO SEVERAL FRIENDS.
For many years I had used tax software to file my federal return. Last year I had a tricky situation arise and was referred to David. He charged a few hundred dollars to prepare a 53-page return that saved me over $4,000 versus the 30-page return that my software came up with. Oh - and the 1-star reviewer down below DESERVED to be told to go elsewhere!
Inquired with Dave to see how much he would charge me to do my taxes. I have a full time job, little freelance income and some investments. He wanted to charge me between $500-$800 and mentioned that he has to charge that much to cover his cost and that I should go elsewhere. Very rude and unprofessional!
I had a 30 min consult via phone with David Mortimer and one could sense he was a very knowledgeable and very professional CPA. Very easy to talk to and more important, very easy to understand. I am not a #'s person, so was nice to speak with a professional such as David who takes the time to explain things in a manner that one understands. Highly recommend his services.
