I brought in my viola to get one thing adjusted and David consulted me on a few other things that could use work as well with no charge. I had such a wonderful experience and he is a lovely person. Will definitely be going back and highly recommend.
Today my son and I stopped by David Bonsey’s violin shop to show a violin we have that needs attention. David is very knowledgeable with excellent social skills. He was able to accommodate time for us and because we are from out of town he was able to make the necessary adjustments to our violin in one day. I highly recommend David for any violinist looking for a luthier in Manhattan.

Brought a country fiddle that was handed down to me from my grand father. Within a few hours, the tuning pegs were replaced , the chin rest was upgraded and the instrument was tuned and zipped up with a humidifier to maintain a 49 degree humidity level. Much appreciated and much love Cheers
David Bonsey is a fine man. Only spoke to him once about my Stivarius, Antonio Stivarius violin, and he gave me an idea how much it’s worth and gave me his time. Very respectful man.
