Completely different experience to others, DAS/ARAG Law did a fantastic job for me with my PI claim. Got offered a settlement, ARAG Law advised to refuse the amount offered and take it to court where a judge reviewed my case (I didn't even need to attend court itself), and sided with me awarding a larger compesatory amount. Yes, things took a long time, but frankly, that's the legal system for you, and it seems many don't recognise this and expect unrealistic fast results.
Avoid ARAG Law, formerly DAS Legal Expenses Insurance (DAS LEI) at all costs - 1 star is ridiculously nice. An awful company with an execrable and arbitrary claims processes. I took out my home insurance policy, as it claimed to cover a multitude of things, such as medical negligence, employment, personal injury, etc. through DAS LEI. After reading all the small print for the necessary parts, I deemed this cover would be suitable and appropriate. I have to concur with some of the other views expressed here, as our legal expenses insurer DAS have farmed out our case to a very poor quality firm and our allocated solicitor qualified last month, and it shows.
