Danville regional Rehab will always have a special place in my heart. They took care of my sons great-grandmother & was just truly amazing! Her dementia diagnosis created someone we didn't know-but they loved her regardless & gave her a quality of life. they handled all of her rottenness and allowed her to live they last few months as she would have wanted. towards the end of her time here the CNA's on the memory care unit took shifts to sit with her, so when she did pass-she wasn't alone. I was under the impression that this was a good place, but that is not the case. First thing I noticed was a chair in my mom's room had the smell of death like someone had died in it and maybe they didn't notice right away. When I brought it to their attention they brought me a different chair. They did nothing with the stinky chair. The room just had the look of being wiped down with a dirty rag. My mother was a resident at this facility for years before her passing, and I have finally decided to share my experience. Throughout the years, there were many compassionate employees who truly cared for the residents, and I will always be grateful to those individuals. Unfortunately, not every employee showed that same level of compassion. My family’s experience with one employee, Kiersten, was consistently unprofessional, disrespectful, and unpleasant.
