Ruler of the Sushi Universe I have eaten here dozens of times and each time, it's a miracle. Consistently fabulous, only the freshest and best ingredients go into the exquisitely prepared food here. Someone with a sharp eye keeps the quality top notch every single time I've been here. No disappointments. The justly-famed sashimi salad is a perfect fusion of Peruvian and Japanese cuisine, the Golden Plate award-winning cod is always a delight, and the little caviar appetizers served in a martini glass are as elegant as they a... read more
Terrific Tuna FANTASTIC and expensive! Located in Beverly Hill! Fresh selection in fish which melts in your mouth. Tuna is to die for and I've never had the black cod with miso soup like this anywhere else. It's pricey but worth it at least once!
Off the charts! This was one of the first places I went to in Los Angeles, and it met every high expectation. The flavor of the fish was off the charts, and it's somewhat of a shame because it has been hard to replicate that feeling despite trying a whole host of sushi options in Southern California. the prices are high, but for the special bursts of flavor, it's worth it.
Best sushi I've ever eaten. Pricey.
Great food, but not sure if the price is worth it. This is a high class establishment, where the food is premium, the service is good, the dishes are small and the prices are high. Great for date nights, but expect to pay $100 per person.
Great, great place. Noisy, casual dining room, fantastic unique sushi dishes, celebrity crowd. Really a one of a kind restaurant. Expensive.
Some of the best Japanese food in L.A. Great fish. Interesting scene. Very expensive.
the exquisite, but expensive tastes of japan i received the special treatment at the matsuhisa because i went with the c.e.o./president of sony japan. therefore, we had the top, best chefs of the house serve us. i have eaten in many japanese sushi/sashimi places throughout the u.s., and no other, beats the savoring tastes at the matsuhisa. yumyumyum. the sashimi had a lot of flavor, similar to the flavors from hokkaido, japan. oh, and the sashimi/sushi were those of the exact style as in japan.
