He was a court assigned GAL for a case with my sons grandmother, he was helpful for the most part and seemed really nice, but my son's words were twisted, he had said he wanted things to stay the same, Mr.Jeffries took that as my son meaning the current visitation order, but my sons grandmother (who has his dads visitation)and I never followed the paperwork, so when my son said he wanted things to stay the same he meant how they have always been not anything to do with the visitation order, had the right meaning been stated ... read more

Jacob Jeffries was the worst public defender I've ever encountered in my life. A clear case of ineffective counsel, might as well be a prosecutor and not a public defender. Allowed the courts to violate my first amendment rights, violated my 6th amendment rights. Forced me into a plea bargain after basically telling me that he wasn't going to do anything for me and the Urbana Ohio court system is rigged.
