There is no nursing home feel to this place at all, they truly care about the residents they have there. I am so pleased with how this place is run and highly recommend to others!
The tour of the facility and the detailed breakdown of costs involved were great. Very nice facility with extremely nice and helpful staff. Always difficult to have to move an aging parent to a facility that can care for them, but danbury helped relieve a lot of our stress by us knowing they will be taken care of.
We felt very welcome and the communication with directors and staff have been exceptional. We are thankful there is a place that can help with our dad.
Update: after the review below was written we met with management to address The past few weeks have certainly been an improvement. We appreciate the effort to increase the quality of my mothers care. We moved my mother to Danbury about a year ago after she had a stroke. The good points are there are many activities and the food is good. There are definitely aides who are very nice and there for the right reason. The problem is the ones that aren’t. We moved my mother to Danbury about a year ago after she had a stroke. The good points are there are many activities and the food is good. There are definitely aides who are very nice and there for the right reason. The problem is the ones that aren’t. My mom is paralyzed on her left side and requires more care. She often waits up to 30 minutes or longer on her call light when she needs to use the restroom. We were told she would never wait more than 10 minutes .
