Dan has a wealth of experience as a visual artist, set and stage designer, and teacher which he willingly shares along with an enormous collection of reference materials and books. His knowledge of materials and techniques is remarkable. His teaching is tailored to each student's needs and to their strengths. His positive approach and sense of humor make even critiques seem like encouragment. His classes are the most rewarding that I have ever taken.

Dan is a master painter, but he is also an incredible teacher and mentor. Dan generously shares his wealth of knowledge, expertise, and experience with students. He doesn't use a rigid curriculum to teach you to paint just like him - he meets you where you are and constructively guides you to achieve your unique artistic goals. I am blessed to have Dan as my mentor and guide in my artistic journey. Artists at all levels of experience would benefit from his instruction.
