I was supposed to get 30 minutes visit with my mother and I only got 15 minutes visit with my mother and I drove 55 miles there and 55 miles back home but I will still do it every week to get to sèe my mother and it's not going to stop me visiting my mum

We booked an overnight stay to go to Dark Skies. The house is in a great location for the trip. The room we had was Andrew Carnegie which was comfortable with a huge spacious bathroom that had a great shower. Fiona made us a great 2 course meal-soup, prawn cocktail the veggie lasagne and steak pie. Huge big portions which set us up for the night. The breakfast was equally as good and had everything you needed. We will be back as sadly we didn't see anything at the observatory on our night!
On arrival we were greeted and given a tour, the staff were friendly and attentive. We were shown our room which was the William Wallace street, it has a beautiful bathroom, with a good pressured shower, toiletries and towels were provided. the bed was comfortable and a good size. We stayed here as it was close to the observatory. Approx a 15 minute drive to the observatory so was a perfect location. Breakfast was included and cooked freshly. Would recommend Dalmellington House.
Dalmellington House was a little hidden gem! Me and my family were staying in the village due to attending a close family members funeral. Fiona and her colleagues made us feel so comfortable and at home. The bedrooms are large, clean and comfortable. The lounge had large sofas with a fire and was lovely to spend time in.
