I was at a small Walmart and I needed some sweet onion. The name on label looked familiar but they said sweet. Three times. Sweets, sweet onions, and guaranteed sweet. It even has sucré on the back for the French Canadians. Just used three to make salsa. Two were hot! The third wasn't but I wouldn't call it sweet. I've left a review before for Dalena Farms and it was pointed out that the label didn't say they were sweet. But this label does. I will not return them but I definitely need to remember the Dalena label.
Just grabbed a Dalena Farms Sweet D yellow onion out of the 3lb bag. Not only was it not sweet it was hotter than a jalapeno. It's not just Dalena. A lot of so called sweet onions are super hot. I've even had a couple hot Vidalia onions.
