Terrible bank.
Worst bank I’ve ever dealt with, hands down. Dacotah Bank has the most incompetent customer service I’ve ever experienced. The fees are absolutely outrageous, and I’ve been with them for YEARS thinking maybe it would improve — spoiler alert: it never does. Their app is complete garbage, so I went in person today and somehow that was even worse. It’s painfully obvious they hire just anyone and throw them behind a desk with zero training. Amber Johnson and Brandon J (market retail leader) are very unprofessional, rude, and discriminatory towards disabled individuals.
Do not use this bank, they want to charge $8 to cash a check from their bank since I am a non member. Because of this I won’t be reccomending anyone to bank here. Negative 5 stars.
Dacotah Bank would not cash a check written from USDA, government entity, to a contractor. This is a contractor, who is federally registered, and up to government entity standards, yet refused to cash the check based on “we don’t cash contractor checks.” Okay. We get it. We are two Veterans, myself and the contractor. If there was a no star, it would be rated that. Dacotah Bank did not even offer this contractor to open a bank account with them!
