D & K Collectibles and Cabins started as a hobby business in 1975 in our garage. Dennis and Kathy bought old furniture and refinished and resold. Dennis worked full time in the building trades since 1964. He would do the repair and Kathy the refinishing. In 1982 the garage became too small so they moved to New Sharon, Iowa and opened D & K CollectiblesDennis is the master furniture maker, spending most of the day in his wood shop. We found this shop on the way to Oskaloosa. Great little shop. A definite stop if you're in town or just passing through. The owner is great to talk to as well.
