I've made the drive to the Cygnus Lumber twice now over closer lumber yards, First was actually on a lark as we also wanted to check out The Meat Shack at the same time. I returned to Cygnus as the "owner" went out of his way to be helpful, and the second time he was just as helpful. It was also cool that his pricing was competitive! Still have not made it to the meat shack when they are open, guess I'll need to buy some more lumber eh?
I have never had anything other than an adventure when I go out to Cygnus! Plus, the selection and service are unbeatable! Great work, Great Guy! A++

This is the best place in the area for lumber. The prices are better, and the wood is thicker compared to the overpriced big-box stores. Plus, the owner is a master cabinet maker who always offers expert-level advice.
I went in about 6 months ago to buy materials for a built-in that I had designed for my office. It was my first time going outside of the Big Box store to get materials. Greg recommended materials and answered all of my "amateur" woodworker questions. The quality of materials was fantastic and the price was still cheaper than the Big Box store.
