Greg replied to an email and provided a reference for something completely unrelated to his business. I wasn’t sure if I had the proper contact, and I didn’t. He didn’t have to do that but to me it says a lot about someone and their business.
Your bike will be repaired right the first time. This shop doesn't sell rubber floaty toys and do bikes in the side. Trust Dean to professionally keep your bike performing like new.
In my opinion as a casual mountain bike rider on a budget, this is the best bike shop in Truckee. If you want to do something yourself they won't try to pressure you into a service. Instead they will give you advice and sell you the parts and tools you need to do it yourself. They are very friendly and helpful. I understand the benefits of a yearly tune up at a shop, and if I rode more and had a nicer bike I might go that route. But it's satisfying getting friendly help to keep your old bike going. I appreciate this place.
Called right as they opened and explained my 10 yr old son was in town with a flat tire and was supposed to go on a ride with his cousins. I was not with him and I asked if there was anything they could do to help. It was a big ask. Mike had them on the road with two new tires in 30 minutes even though the shop was busy. Totally saved the day. Thank you guys!
Ordered a bike over the the phone to be shipped across the country and within one week was able to have it at my place ready to ride. Everything was straight forward and quick. Any questions I had they responded as soon as they could and made sure to keep me in the loop with photos and the shipment info.
