Very delayed getting back. Spent over an hour at a stop waiting. Did not stick to schedule. Poor communication by staff.
My wife and I had such a relaxing time on the ride. Highly recommend the California Zephyr.
This train ride was long and didn't have much to see. The staff were pleasant. The air conditioner was running for a long time. Everyone was freezing. People were wearing hats and gloves. When asked if they could turn it off they did. But, then came back through maybe 30 minutes later and turned it on again. Then everyone began to freeze again. Outside was warmer than inside on this beautiful fall day. Take blankets, coats, gloves, etc for your own comfort. We would not take this 4 hour stop and go ride again.
Nice spot, but nothing to see except nature and nature.
