Cumberland farms WAS my go to gas station. Was recently over charged for my coffee. They have one price posted and charge a higher price. I understand prices go up and deals change but as a business you need to do your diligence and change the signage. The law in Connecticut states products must be sold at the posted price. When I brought this to my cashier attention I was shrugged off. I guess I will be going to the department of consumer protection with my receipt and photos of the posted prices.
WARNING: DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS HERE. I purchased two gift cards here on two different occasions. The people I bought them for were not able to use them. They were told the card is inactive, even though I got the receipt showing the cards were activated. I spoke with the store manager and I was given two support phone numbers that were useless. I just wanted my money back but was told that I couldn't. Such a shame and useless gift. Other than the gift card issue, it is decent place to stop and get gas and other essentials.
I visit this location almost daily, and I have to say, whoever manages it and handles the hiring is doing an outstanding job. The staff here are incredibly friendly, the store is always spotless, and the shelves are consistently well-stocked. In my opinion, this is hands down the best location by far!
I've been to 3 Cumberland Farms locations to get gift cards. No gift cards at all in Centerbrook. Old Saybrook has them but can't sell them because they can't scan them. Deep River only has birthday gift cards. I need plain or Christmas ones. This is utterly ridiculous. Do better.
This Cumberland farms is really great.From their fantastic coffee to there food. This Cumberland farms has extremely nice employees, I go to Cumberland at least once a day a real Dimond for the community. Highly recommended !
