Poor customer service, long hold times and a completely bogus reporting of non payment when autopay sent same monthly payment as always. The escrow amount was increased and while we were disputing the amount our auto pay for previous amount was deemed non payment After much complaint by me it was changed to late payment status which is still a hit on our credit rating. More recently it took two hours on the phone to receive an explanation of the formula behind their escrow factoring and appeals to supervisor to get it handle... read more

I am currently refinancing my property through **but I currently have a mortgage with Colonial. **requested a payoff balance from Colonial and they had to do it 4 times because every time they requested docs, Colonial wouldn't send the right documents that reflect the most recent mortgage payment. This, as I mentioned, resulted in ** bank rep calling Colonial 4 times, for which Colonial charged $25 fee for every call they received from **rep, accruing a total of $100. For the last week I have been on the phone with various members of Colonial savings staff . I have been trying to resolve my credit issue with them and I’ve been told there’s nothing they can do,that it’s already been reported to the credit agencies and it’s my fault. I’ve been out of the country for approximately two months and came home to a nightmare concerning colonial savings. I had posted a negative review without doing further research and after having an open dialogue conversation with SharniseI have found out why it seems like forever for our refinancing to be completed. I understand that they have a lot of work to do on our behalf and If I could re-tract the last review I would. They called me and explained to me where my loan was at, and also had an open ended conversation that was fair and competent. Sharnise was nothing but helpful and reasonable.

In the process of a short sale with my property. Tricia H***** is a staff member with this company and assigned to my loan. It took me two months with a total of nine phone calls and nine voicemails to finally get a response from Tricia H*****. She promises a call back with her greeting but never does. Our experience with Colonial Savings, F.A. is causing us to lose our home. They tag on fees and ad "cushion" bogus tax increases to our fixed rate, 30 year loan, every year, and demand that we either pay the increase up front or it will be added to our house payment. The amount is usually too high to pay up front, so we have no choice but to add it to our house payment. So our house payment goes up every year. We have now been financially pushed right out of our home.

We had a terrible experience with CU Members Mortgage. Our loan processor was very unresponsive. In fact, of the many times I called her to discuss things during the loan process, NEVER, not once did she answer the phone. She returned one phone call. The process was poorly handled and communication was terrible. Due to deficiencies of the staff, our closing was delayed and we had no where to go for more than a week.
