We walked to Middlesmoor from How Stean Gorge its up a steep hill, 25% according to the road sign. Sadly for us on 3.10.2024 lunch time The Crown's kitchen was closed due to new windows being fitted. However, the pints of Theakston & Hetton together with crisps and pickled egg filled a gap and were very much appreciated. Views from the church are stunning.
Had yet another fantastic stay in the Crown Hotel. Everyone is fantastic and very helpful! The rooms are brilliant, clean and well kept. And amongst it all, the pub retains its very original and unique interior! All in all a brilliant place to visit!! 10/10!!!
We were on Mz Riders club rally
What a find. Lovely cosy rooms, some with fantastic views down the valley. Perfect base for walking in the area. Great welcome with some surprisingly good home cooked food and a wide choice of beers and wine.
