Extremely inefficient process. Most people I talked with were on their 3rd, or fourth trip. Finally figured out the system. Crowley tell customers shipping cars to Puerto Rico to get an ITIN from the IRS. This is because they don't want your social security number. Makes sense, except Puerto Rican law requires social security number on the Bill of Lading. This makes sense so they can identify new residents. My BOL was never found in the Suri tax system because my BOL was switched to use SSN by the tax department, instead of ... read more
