This school based on Christian values and practices is a total JOKE!. MY son who stayed at this school for a year and half. Well let's just Tell the Truth! He was placed due to behavior problems. He Loved it at first! He got on at the coffee shop working 6 days a week. At $7.50 an hr. First 2 months went well. I was proud of him for staying with it! I was there in 1969, went to Avery County High School along with Tommy Burleson (NC State basketball star). Crossnore was the worst, taught me how to do drugs. Guy from Raleigh was the ringleader. Rich Kids. Room Boss tried to whip me with a belt..... Wasn't and Didn't Happen,we tore up the office/room his office. I left the following weekend. The only good was learning to dress properly for dinner as we lined up military style.
