They asked us if we speak English or French right before boarding the boat. After we answered English, they let all of the French speaking groups to board first and gave them the front and side seats (which are the better seats), even though we were first in line. They forced us to board last and sit at the end of the boat, which had limited view. We were also soaked with water (due to sitting at the back seats) and the rest of people were not even wet. I did not realize that segregation is still a thing in Canada.
Avis mitigé, on voit des baleines de loin et c’est très rapide. On voit aussi des béluga et des phoques mais aussi loin dommage… Bateau et équipage super!
We were late for 1 pm slot due to ferry issues, please make sure to check the route well, THERE IS A FERRY TO CROSS THE RIVER, and plan on advance. I would say go hour early. It's a small island, going earlier won't hurt. We went in 4 pm slot but didn't check any major whales, sighted few seals and one milky whale moving. That's it.
