Cristen captures the unique beauty of the South Dakota prairie in a way that fills my heart with joy. I grew up on those prairies, and having her photography in my home is a precious reminder of those cherished days in a place that will always call me home.

My twin sister and I fell in love with Cristen’s work at a Black Hills art fair two summers ago. We were riveted by her images, especially because of how she had titled each piece in the most pure and thoughtful way. We spent a few hours in her booth, examining and comparing photographs in their various mediums and asking countless questions which Cristen answered with patience and grace. Cristen’s art of landscape photography is a genuine, full-of-love capture of the beautiful Midwest, that touches hearts. I have one of her pieces as the center piece of my living room, and it takes me home to the prairie every single time I look at it! She is a joy to work with and so very talented!
