The staff is nice. Understaffed at times, but they are much better than other banks I've had, just be prepared to wait in line.
You know, I moved over from a traditional bank and I have been very happy with my choice. I wish I would've done it sooner. Update: For over 6 months I have been extremely pleased with CU of NJ - my dividends are great way better than my old Wells and Chase and the ease of access has been great.
As the other 100+ reviews mention, this credit union is by far the worst in customer service. I reached out for an auto loan and was quickly enticed by their low rates and deferred payment program. Little did I know, they would run my credit and never call or email me back again. Getting someone on the phone is practically impossible and if you somehow succeed, the people who pick up are not able to help you or give you any type of update. their customer service email is also a joke.
