I have been with the Credit Union of Colorado and using the Lakewood location for over 20 years. During that time I've had checking and savings accounts, home mortgage, and home improvement loans, I've have always found all of the staff to be polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. One of the nice perks is that you can go in anytime their open to get something notarized for free.
EDITING 1ST REVIEW: I would love to send my deepest thank you to Donna at a totally different branch for reaching out to me and being so kind and helping me get my correct 10 digit checking account number so I will not be having the same issues as previously. I will just have to see what I can do with my creditors on how to repair my 90 day late status. my payments to creditors being returned due to funds being taken out of saving instead of checking account making me 90 days delinquent. At 10:50 am i was the only customer with 4 counters occupied by "Bankers" - no supervisor in today- i was declined customer service and told i needed an appointment for later in the week. A "NEW" customer denied service...
As long as you are okay with a small 15$ members fee. They have thus far been exceptional with communication, security, and helpfulness. Will continue to keep coming back hopefully, member for a few months now. Love credit unions!
This location is okay, sometimes there's a line and it takes 10-20 minutes to see a teller. Their website is pretty bad though. Poorly designed, doesn't work well, slow. Lots of errors if you're trying to apply for a line of credit or something like that, can't upload files. The website almost makes the rest of the CUofCO experience not worth it.
