CDG reupholstered two chairs and a couch for us. They did wonderful work. We couldn’t be more pleased.
I was trying to figure out how this shop had such high ratings and then I realized all of the reviews were from more than a couple years ago. There must be a new upholsterer in the shop because the work that I experienced was not at all in line with the other reviews. Some of the worst upholstery I have ever seen, spent a week and a half repairing a living room set that came from this shop. I highly recommend Creative Design Guild. They did an excellent job on my dining room chairs. I just got back my favorite high back wing chair, It turned out beautiful. They did such a great job!! Very happy with the quality of work and price. Friendly people to work with!!
Warning: The rave reviews for Creative Design Guild are old and almost all mention Luann. According to the son, Rodney, who is doing most work now, his mother (Luann) rarely does upholstery any more. Here's a review of Rodney's work on a chair that I took there (with fabric): AMATEUR! Seams don't match, cording is rippled, seat cushion no longer fits (extends to the front); I could go on and on. His self-review? "I think it looks great!" Don't waste your money, go somewhere else.
I would highly recommend this place. I just had a couch and two barrel back chairs upholstered and they turned out beautiful. The owner was even able to change the look of the couch to a more updated piece. I was very pleased with the professionalism and assistance in picking out design and materials. I’ve never had this type of service at other upholstery businesses.
