2024 update- just got ANOTHER letter from the IRS stating that we owe them $1,000 from 2020 taxes. We’ve paid literal thousands in late fees and back taxes and they just keep piling up. I’m literally begging you to find a different accountant. Please please please, whatever you do, don’t use Curtis or anyone affiliated with him or his office! Terrible communication. cost me thousands in late fees. would not recommend to anyone
They, specifically Dakota, did our taxes back in 2021, and it’s been a constant stream of letters and fines from the IRS since then. It’s strange because 2021 wasn’t the first year that we had worked with them, but apparently they decided they didn’t want to do their job anymore. Unable to contact them, no help with getting this all fixed, just stay away if you don’t want to have to deal with the IRS for years and years.

My husband hired Dakota to do his 2020 taxes. We provided all the needed support to Dakota in January. We would call Dakota weekly and got no response from Dakota until APRIL! Dakota finally got back to us and “filed our taxes.” We have now received over $500 in fees from the federal and state government because different required tax forms were not turned in, but the amount was paid.
