They recommended a Morso stove for us and it's been perfect . We've had it 3 years now. The glass is always clean so the view of the fire is beautiful. It lights easily and there are often embers in the morning so it lights again quickly. I see my friends wood stoves and can tell they just don't have the ease of fire lighting and clear glass that we enjoy. It's worth paying a bit more as they last forever and the enjoyment is forever. For Valentine’s Day my wife wanted to go to Cracker Mill to look at wood stoves. We have purchased two Vermont Castings Stoves since 1993 from Cracker Mill. This was just a stop and let's see what’s new shopping trip. We ended up purchasing a new Vermont Castings Defiant Encore. Since we were going on vacation we ordered the stove to have it installed when we got back. Every few years we have our stove serviced by Cracker Mill. Lauri and Sean are a great team and super local small business! They were willing to take on a tough install job that one of the local competitors thought was too challenging. Lauri did research on appropriate venting of our Vermont Castings Radiance stove, from the manufacturer, that allowed us to install the stove on the wall we wanted. There are long wait times for direct vent gas stoves nowadays, but Lauri explained all that upfront. Sean did an impeccable install.
