Found a cheaper internet service with no data caps. I thought cancelling would be a hassle, but it took about 2 minutes. I brought in my ONT box for the fiber, said I needed to cancel, they confirmed my identity and I was walking out happy.

Terrible customer service and predatory billing practices. I recommend that you do not do business with COX. There are much better options out there these days.

I have to say, that was the best experience ever. In the past, my dealings were via phone. But yesterday we walked in. We were greated immediately and we were in and out in 10 minutes. Modem in hand. Christafor was professional, personable, prompt, and so pleasant to work with. So grateful for you. Thank you so much for making this part of our transition easy!

UPDATE: 07/16/26 After cancelling services on 06/30, and paying what should’ve been my final bill, Cox decided that for the month of July-Aug when I no longer had the services OR router, they want to add a $50 (just bc fee) bc they can’t “prove whether or not data was used” between the time of cancellation and the time of return, per customer service. After speaking to 5 people, getting passed around carelessly, asking for a supervisor multiple times and not getting one — it was resolved in a 3 hour window. Not sure when Cox... read more
