Efficient
Cox was the best but I am not sure it is anymore. I used to have less than half the latency and now I have upgraded equipment thats multiple generations newer and a brand new phone. I am not stupid; Cox has gotten slower as I have spent a lot of $ upgrading equipment as my internetlags more. Its not all about speed if response time is slow its no good. Maybe the data centers have a better connection with them and that's why mine needs to have more latency than it used to??
I attempted to cancel online. Was connected with an Ashran S. When I made it clear I had already begun service with another provider and was unwilling to give details of my internet usage, they began only sending messages that they were busy with someone else for an entire 30 minute period. Eventually, they terminated the entire chat without allowing me to cancel my account. I am not bound to a contract with Cox, I have had service with them for multiple years. Do not sign up with this company.
Make sure you read the fine print! A salesperson at this location added a phone to my cable telling me it would lower my cable bill and was only $15 a month. That was not the full truth! Do not let them talk you into their phone service for extra perks. Now they sent $150 phone bill to collections for a phone I never used for 4-5 months.
