I witnessed this DA today, pushing a defendant to accept a plea deal, state that the defendants wife called his office with information against the defendant, making the defendant think his wife had turned on him. After the defendant accepted the plea deal he came back with “judge, I misspoke, the defendants wife did not contact us, we contacted her.” Dirty trick! About as low as you can go in my opinion.

I just want to say that Leigh in the DA’s office is wonderful. She is a breath of fresh air in the system. It’s always like pulling teeth to get answers about anything government related, and she went above and beyond!! Don’t ever lose her! PS- she deserves a raise!!!! 😊

This office doesn’t care if you’ve been a victim of assault and giving you a two week notice for court is impossible for you to make. Shame on them! Their “victim advocates” are carefree. Katie and Christina do not care about you!
