Went to this law firm to have them review our estate planning documents (trust, wills, etc.) relative to Illinois statutes, as they were created when we were residents of Missouri. An initial consultation (via Zoom) was scheduled, and we paid a required initial deposit of $500. The meeting went well until we were told the firm’s fee for doing the requested work if we moved forward with them.
