I think this is a firm that's just busier than they can handle, but the bitter irony is it's going to cause less people to want to work with them. My overarching complaint would be communication. A few examples: 1. I asked my point of contact with their firm when we would get an ALTA statement. I was advised that my paralegal would have it to me when it was ready. Which...duh, okay. I really hate leaving bad reviews, but this one has to be shared. This attorney was nearly impossible to reach by phone, regularly took 2–4 days to respond to emails, and I had to request the closing statement multiple times before receiving it. Overall, they were incredibly difficult to work with. As a Realtor, I've worked with many real estate attorneys, and this is not typical. Did not get Alta or CD until we were literally at the closing table… appt was at 3 and did not start until 3:35. Everyone was flustered and it was extremely disorganized. Absolutely no communication and i don’t know why they even have emails because no one answers. The entire home buying experience with Mattamy was FANTASTIC but this really put a dent in the overall experience.
