I’ve been buying from Costco for years and haven’t had any problem with them however about a month and a half ago I bought new glasses, the lenses scratched terribly , I went in to ask for different lenses that don’t scratch they said they only sell one type. They apparently have changed and are very poor quality. I will not buy from there again. I have found online that the lenses that do not scratch are still available from different company.

I highly encourage you to avoid Costco Optical. Regardless if paying via insurance or out of pocket, this is not a place to visit, at least not right now! Due to reconstruction/remodeling the management of this Costco has decided to relocate the entire optical center into a very tiny space in the back of the tire shop. On entry I noticed the waiting room and eye test center sharing the same physical room, with small divider. The area looked unsanitary and dirty. Hannah was super helpful, kind and sweet. She helped me fixing my glasses so they could stay in my face as my mom picked my glasses up and I couldn’t get them fit to me🤓
The customer service is OK, but as it stands, I’m on my second pair of Problematic Lenses that I’ve gotten them to do for me and it seems to be an issue with these as well the transition this time and I’m standing in the middle of the sign with no transition happening I’m not sure what’s going on, but I definitely can say this will be my last pair of glasses I take to Costco‘s.
