I have been shopping at Costco for over 20 years and I have never been asked at the checkout by a worker to check inside my mini backpack purse for stolen merchandise. Today was the day and apparently, this is their policy. It is unfortunate this is how they treat their customers.
I had such high hopes for American Costco... And while I would absolutely steal the entire liquor section and put it in our Canadian stores - our Canadian stores are better stocked with better variety of other goods. Maybe it's just this location I don't know. We'll find out soon.
