Crazy concept but if you, the Costco employee, are suspicious of someone using another person’s membership, you can ask the customer to verify their info instead of being incredibly rude to them at the door. I would have happily shown proof of ID if asked instead of receiving a passive aggressive “you know you don’t have a picture yet?” And was refused a coupon flyer. I usually enjoy shopping at Costco, but my experience with an employee named Benita was very disappointing. I was simply looking through the clothes to find the right size, and I didn’t ask her for any help. Still, she kept shaking her head and complaining, as if I was making a mess of the clothes. Her attitude made me feel uncomfortable, like I was doing something wrong, when I was just shopping like any other customer. I honestly didn’t expect this kind of behavior at Costco.
