The lady who checked me out was very rude. I have not gone into a Costco but to get my membership a year prior in Shawnee, KS. I was not aware that my membership was close to expired, instead of informing me she just went ahead and added it to my total. When i brought it up the cashier said “well you’ll need it to check out today.”. Let’s just say I left empty handed and haven’t returned.
March 2026 Well, I was given a gift card for Christmas so I went in to register today. It feels like such an unfriendly place. The people standing at the front look like security guards with frowns rather than greeters. The woman who helped me scolded me for not looking up at her when I spoke, and then after she took my picture, let me know that the gift I was given was “not the executive level so I couldn’t come in till 10”.
