Awful experience not like the rest of Costco at all. Basically they want you to buy new frames every time you go which is insane; and they do this by a 10 seconds "inspection" to your current frames. I change my lenses once a year and I love my current frames which I've been using for the last 5+ years without any issues, I decided to give Costco Vision Center a try and they wouldn't accept my $300+ dollars frames saying "these are too old and we can work with that, however, we have a $50 coupon that you can use". Yesterday I visited the Optical department of Costco Westchase to have my prescription glasses adjusted. After a year of multiple attempts to adjust my frames Eduardo nailed it! Thank you Eduardo for taking your time and doing an excellent job.
People are great. Website says "Costco Optical now accepts most vision insurance plans." NOT true and somewhat misleading. Mine only takes UnitedHealth because they are independent conrtractors and choose what they want to accept. A real let down.
The lady at the vision department served 0 customer service. I wanted to tried a pair of glasses and she asked “ do you see the price?” Gave me the pair of glasses to try on and she just walked away, never get back to me to ask if I like them, or want to try another one, or even to take that pair of glasses back. I just put that pair back on the counter, did not want to try another pair. It’s Westchase, why did she think I couldn’t afford $449 glasses? Racism is real.
Poor experience here, so writing this in hopes to save someone else the time. Went here for a standard pair for prescription lenses. Tried them on at pick up, the vision was so skewed unless I was looking directly straight through the lenses... so if my eyes looked even a tiny bit to the side or up or down, it was blurry and instantly gave me a headache.
