If you’re not picking up an order, expect to receive horrible customer service and wait for at least 30 minutes. When I arrived to the optical station I went to pick a ticket and it was empty so I joined the line like everyone else. They proceeded to help everyone else but me because they were picking up and I stood at the front of the line for about 20minutes. the optometrists working at Dr. Howard’s office are amazing, thorough and kind. this review is about the staff at the optometrist department who answer calls/assist with purchasing glasses or contacts. they are consistently rude and will claim that their titles as optometrists allow them to speak to customers in a condescending tone of voice. if you can, order your glasses or contacts online with costco rather than ordering with the optometry department.
The exam and doctor was great but went to pick up glasses and was ignored by some old guy had to wait 20 minutes till the nice guy with tattoos came back from his break.
The doctors and eye exam clinic staff are great, but the customer service at the glasses counter is consistently poor. I’ve bought three pairs of glasses here, and only one tall gentleman has ever been kind and helpful. On 7/28, I went in to pick up a pair of glasses. It was busy, so I politely asked an older staff member, “Excuse me, do I need a ticket if I’m just picking up?” He snapped back rudely, clearly annoyed I even asked. What a great experience. I've bought tons of things and eyewear from Costco before but I came in with a pair of broken glasses and I already had replacement frames and just needed the lenses swapped out. Michelle did it for me in no time as a courtesy free of charge. It's so rare to experience customer service like that anymore. I will definitely be purchasing my next round of contacts and frames from here. Thanks again Michelle!
