Carol was rude to me. Sold a pair of children's glasses and denied it. Then my prescription was incorrect that I brought in from a different ophthalmologist and she told me I had one chance to get it right and if not I'm out. After that I cancel my Costco membership.
My 1st time purchasing eyeglasses at Costco. For some reason I never thought about Costco. I am blown away! 1st Peggy was amazing! 2nd the options and prices are outstanding. Thank-you!
I’m not sure why the techs are always so rude. I went to a different location and had a similar experience. Very dismissive and unhelpful.
For the actual eye exam/ ophthalmology portion: 5 out of 5 stars. Doctor Irwin is professional, welcoming, and helpful. For the retail experience: 2 out of 5 stars. I keep getting foisted on a Costco optical employee whose attitude couldn't be worse. I'm rushed, I'm told things fit when they don't, I'm talked down/ over, ignored, and just generally treated pretty poorly. I didn't catch a name but if you're assigned a tan woman with dark hair and ong painted nails, ask for someone else.
Carol in the glasses and contacts department was so helpful. I accidentally threw away my last pair of contacts so she gave me a free sample pair to get me by and helped me order more. She was very competent and professional and super nice. Rare to find these days. Thanks Carol!
