I’m not sure why the techs are always so rude. I went to a different location and had a similar experience. Very dismissive and unhelpful.
For the actual eye exam/ ophthalmology portion: 5 out of 5 stars. Doctor Irwin is professional, welcoming, and helpful. For the retail experience: 2 out of 5 stars. I keep getting foisted on a Costco optical employee whose attitude couldn't be worse. I'm rushed, I'm told things fit when they don't, I'm talked down/ over, ignored, and just generally treated pretty poorly. I didn't catch a name but if you're assigned a tan woman with dark hair and ong painted nails, ask for someone else.
Carol in the glasses and contacts department was so helpful. I accidentally threw away my last pair of contacts so she gave me a free sample pair to get me by and helped me order more. She was very competent and professional and super nice. Rare to find these days. Thanks Carol!
I'm am a petite lady and tried on a frame and asked Carol the manager if they were children's glasses and said no. After getting the wrong prescription from my ophthalmologist I ended up getting them remade which still was incorrect. I ended up returning the glasses and found out they were children's glasses. No wonder they were too tight. I decided Costco is not the place for me to get my eyeglasses.
Top notch customer service and professionalism. Carol and the team always streamline my experience and make the most of what little spare time I have. Thank you thank you!!
