I bought the Kirkland brand (manufactured by Phonak) hearing aids for $1400 for a pair. They have 24 channels and tuned up reasonable well for the frequencies I'm deficient in. The real problem with buying these at Costco is the difficulty in getting caring timely service. The center (Livonia) is often understaffed. The people fitting you are only moderately familiar with the state of hearing aid technology out there. Went to this place to get my father hearing aids. To start, the people behind the desk are NOT Audiologists, they are hearing aid dealers who are trained how to use the software to test hearing. They skipped the speech recognition test because my father does not know english very well. There are other ways of testing speech recognition that actual Audiologists know how to do.
