About

The city of Corning cannot be experienced in totality without visiting Gaffer District, one of its most prominent neighborhoods. Marketing itself as the Crystal City, this locality offers numerous museums, eateries and shops that have branded themselves on unique themes. Follow trails like The Edible Excursions TrailandThe Antiques & Collectibles Trail that group related retail stores to provide a fun-filled experience to visitors. Meander along the streets to explore historic landmarks and tourist attractions, notable among them being The Rockwell Museum and Corning Museum of Glass. VERY, VERY disappointed in this years Sparkle!!! Nothing besides Santa Clause in Centerway actually reminded me of Christmas. I have been coming to Sparkle since I was a child and I have never seen such a horrible display of holiday cheer. Nothing but greasy food vendors, people handing out pamphlets and booths selling over priced, crappy light up toys! Next year I will be heading to Wellsboro for the Dickens Christmas and I highly suggest someone in charge of Sparkle heads down there as well for some pointers!
