Nice and easy parking nearby, in front of the Inn in lay-by. Plenty of space when arrived 8:30pm. Enter through the door where you can see pool table double door, go to the bar and the lovely and helpful staff will take you to the room(thank you Clair :) ), will give you all the info you might need an the key. Very easy access to the rooms. Nice view to the street. Very clean room, nice fresh towels, amazing hot shower with a perfect pressure, complementary tea, coffee and toiletries. A hidden gem! It's a bit of a ways out of Edinburgh, but well worth the extra travel time. All it took was a 15 min bus trip (bus stop right in front of the inn!) And a 30 minute train ride to Waverly. Easy check in with the bartender Katie at the pub, so friendly! Room was a really good size...2 of us with luggage and daypacks and we had loads of room. We went for a meal. Good food and good service in a really nice dining room.
Stayed and ate here for 2 nights in the last week. Staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. There was a little noise from downstairs, but it's a pub. What do you expect? Bring ear plugs if that bothers you. I would stay here again and would recommend it. Everywhere is very clean and it seems like it has just been done up (not sure if that is the case, but we loved the accommodation and the dining room). Thanks for providing a great place to stay.
