This driver was not happy with the amount of money he was charged for his lumper service hear at Coopers Booth Wholesale. It’s near $1000.00 as he walked past me talking to someone on his phone. Mine was $300 to take off a couple of pallets.Other than high outrageous lumper fees everything went well. Unloading was quick and paperwork inhand shortly after
I originally left a 3-star review. The company considered it “negative,” contacted me through the broker, and demanded that I delete it. They even threatened not to pay for the delivered load unless the review was removed — despite the fact that the freight was delivered on time, with proper temperature control and without damage. The reviews are right about the lumper service here at Coopers, extremely high!!! $300.00 to take off 2 pallets, 57 cases. Heard this money for the lumper service is used for the leasing of the trucks they’re leasing from Millers. Thats what I heard outside from another driver next to me! He said, his lumper fee was near $1000.00 this morning. But other than that everything went fine. I’m and out in an hour or so! You can overnight parking on the road leading to this place, there’s enough room for 2 trucks… that’s all folks
This company operates in a completely unprofessional and dishonest way. The broker and driver both had a confirmed appointment time and date, yet when you arrive, they shift it however they want, forcing drivers to wait for hours or even a full day. There is almost no parking in the area — the closest truck stop is tiny and always full, leaving drivers with nowhere to go. This kind of behavior shows zero respect for drivers’ time and work. Completely unacceptable and not recommended.
Very disappointing experience. First — there are no restrooms for drivers, which already shows how little they care. The yard has very limited space for maneuvering, making it stressful to get in and out. I arrived exactly at the appointment time, yet they pushed my unloading almost a full day later, forcing me to sit and wait with nowhere to park.
