Cooltura Conexion Studios used to feel like a really hip spot—great vibe for the Latin community and the college crowd. Lately it seems like they’ve pivoted hard into being a creative studio (photography, podcasts, music studio time, lessons), which is cool in theory, but the overall brand feels a bit all over the place right now. Traveling and thought we’d give this new Latin restaurant a try. Easy cut through for I35. I had the Cooltura Plate, which was delicious. My husband had the biscuit tower, though it was not served as a tower. If you’re looking for something other than traditional diner food, give them a try. Nice restrooms. Some signage would be nice to direct you to the back room where the eating area is located.
I went there the first day they were open. Very classy. I was impressed by its simplicity and no nonsense, but it showed a relaxed and vibrant environment. Definitely unique to the area. The food was very good. I enjoyed how it was presented and the flavor was just right. A little mix of what's typically Mexican (eggs and chorizo) with an arepa on the side. My husband and I and some friends enjoyed lunch here on our way home. The food was delicious, and the server attentive. All of our entrees were reasonably priced for the amount of food we received. Would highly recommend.
Excellent food and great service at reasonable prices. Colombian options makes it a unique place for Emporia. We’ll definitely be back!
